It's actually not as absurd as you would think, I played Cyberpunk on my Deck and had a great time with it, it looks and plays very well on Deck
Me, I'm happy my mid range tablet can play NES, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari Lynx, Sega Genesis, Neo Pocket Color, Neo Geo MVS games I legally purchased on Steam and GOG...
Retro games are my bag...
keep in mind that the only people who are getting advertisment for steam deck are steam users.
in such a small market steam really needs to consider broaden its horizons.
i just saw a compeditor "logi Cloud" at Best B.. for 300.00
I was tempted to just buy it but resisted and instead got a 50 inch TV for a sweet price.
recently just got a 2nd hand PC Tablet computer, while its stats are actually lower then steam deck it is a full Windows 10 PC,
the specs aren't very gamy, but its blue stacks compatible and emu friendly , id can be hooked up to a blue tooth gaming controller, and doesn't need a dock to have working wifi.
you have to really consider your options, while i have seen many and i mean many threads on , steam deck can be docked as a desktop pc, that seems rather self defeating. and hopefully they figured out that shotty wifi drop connectivity issue that was going on.
Also logitech g cloud isn't exactly good, as have to rely on streaming your game from cloud, or needing another PC/console on same network that run your game to stream to you. I mean if want android tablet that what it is, you would be better off getting a Nintendo switch at that point no offense. For $100 more you get an actual PC handheld that play your PC games via the deck, no cloud needed, and sure you can actually run android games on it as well too, plus more due to much higher better system specs.
steam deck could be a common house hold name but failure of marketing and product pricing has put it in a staggered user group , also with its being a linux os base it leaves alot of users baffled and confused on how to troubleshoot and configure the device.
i did just do a review of that Cloud G and yes to assume its a android based device how ever it is also gaming platform friendly and i can do the same things with my current tablets.
as stated i don't think its really the option users want to take. steam deck or cloud g while they might be good for some novice users a more experienced computer savue person should focus on getting a pc tablet, and or creating there own.
i am enjoying my new PC tablet, it was a 2000 dollar device that i just picked up for about 200 dollars, used of couse, but all the functions, plus it has celluar connection so you can actually game and surf the web while traveling, something steam deck can not do .
consider your options before you jump into pricy hardware purchases.
do the reviews and go for what works best for your situation.
Edit: Oh wait, Fallout guy. Of course...
Cheapest is $400... All models above are same except for anti-glare screen, and storage size that it.
It is a android based it using Android 11, which idk why not using android 13 but whatever. I hope you could do same thing as on your tablet because they're same thing, just one has built controller around it.
Skip to 2 mins, and you know.

I don't think you understand, but cloud g is not comparable to Steam deck, rog ally, or etc because it can't even do those things in terms of performance as it's a literal android tablet...
Steam deck, rog ally, gpd 3/4, or etc those actually can run PC games Natively on the device, the Cloud G CAN'T do that because it doesn't have the performance to do so, even if you manage to make it run the peformance will be bad in comparsion to Steam deck, or even GPD 3, and performance between high end such as rog ally, gpd 4, or etc is only by upwards of 30 ~ 50% that means like 10 ~ 30 fps more that it if comparing like 40fps to 70 fps but that when have it under full load on those higher end by 30watts compare steam deck that max at 15w so double the power for almost double the performance, but issue is battery charge dies out a lot faster because again 30wats > 15wats.
What tablet cost $2000 you said you got??? Because that seems really over price on MSRP, unless this one of those PR marking over price tablets aim towards work space, and not consumers.
Yes it best to check what each can do, pros and cons, but also know what the products are, and even checking benchmarks to give an idea, or see if what others think on those products.
Now again just a reminder logitech g cloud is a streaming android device.
You have yet to say anything truthful about the Steam Deck on any of your various accounts.
Now, when it comes to Steam, I understand that I am not actually Valve's customer (unless I buy a game developed by them), their customers are the developers, so I'm cool with their "hands off" approach when it comes with how they manage Steam, I generally won't complain.
However, when it comes to their hardware, I am their customer and frankly, I feel completely abandoned by them after spending over 2 grand on hardware (Controller, VR and Deck). I was hoping Valve would, as I said, "go to bat" for us and use their massive clout to gently nudge developers to provide support for their hardware. Like Capcom with Resident Evil VR, both VII and VIII are available elsewhere which means other companies went to bat for their customers (the amount of really great VR content not on Steam is rather staggering). It was nice to see CD Projeck Red do specific Steam Deck settings, but I assume that's 'cause they're a great company and not because Valve asked them nicely. It would be nice if Valve kindly "asked" developers for Steam deck optimization or something.
I'm not asking Valve to ask for strong-arm for exclusivity, I think that stuff is wrong, I was kind of hoping that they would "encourage" developers for more direct support and releases for Valve's hardware though.
As for support for the product itself, I'm not sure Valve can be outdone, they're beyond stellar and their products are extremely well built in my opinion.
Someone getting entertainment from simple things is the opposite of having issues.
I'm happy playing my lego games, MKX, Skullgirls, Grid 2 and all the indies I've bought over the years and slack playing on the PC because I have to plug a controller on my Deck.
