Imagine being so obsessed with a retired volunteer mod that you take something that far out of context just to make yourself feel good.

Opinion discarded.
You are not here to discuss your own topic. Not sure what can even be said, then.
Curse words are often seen as taboo, but they can actually be used in a written form to clarify meaning, add emotion, and more efficiently and concisely express meaning.
Mark Twain once said that there are so few really descriptive words in the English language, that it is a shame to restrict the use of those few that there are. I agree with this sentiment. There are words that pack an emotional punch in just one word, rather than having to use a less emotional word. Using so-called "curse" words can save time, bandwidth, and, considering the limited writing skills many have in this day and age, can serve to more accurately make the point they are trying to make.
It is true that if there were no filters in place, people might use curse words more often. However, this does not mean that the forum would become worse as Zefar proposes. In fact, it could make the forum more expressive and engaging. Curse words can be used to add humor, to express anger or frustration, or to simply add emphasis. When used appropriately, they can make a piece of writing more powerful and memorable.
Of course, it is important to use curse words in a respectful way. They should not be used to insult or demean others. However, when used correctly, they can be a valuable tool for communication.
I do not believe that this forum is a terrible place to be, even with all the restrictions in place. However, I do believe that it would be a more expressive and engaging place if people were allowed to use curse words appropriately.
Um no, that would not be the case. People would use them because "If they are not filtered it's allowed to be used" and think they are freely allowed to insult people.
I've literally seen people claim that too btw. From ban messages.
Any forum that wants too have a proper discussion put up rules and what not.
This forum probably have a lot of kids too so that isn't helping the situation.
It saddens me to admit that both of your opinions (which I interpret as - in general - due to the anonymity of the internet, many people are rude, mean and rotten ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (yeah I said it).
Daaaum! There's those stupid hearts again. Hey! Mommy and Daddy Steam. Go away. Yur no fun.
Rules will have no meaning at all to those types.
Solution: word redacted because of the rules ... 'em! . Ban 'em all and let GOD sort it out.
And with that? So long. Adios, au revoir.

We had ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of fun"
and "sh1tl04ds" got immediatly censored... so I have to add that word...
and even after added that word it still gets censored.-.. wtf...
Disregard thge last one... I must have made a typo in the filter...
You keep saying this like hate speech is everywhere and Steam does nothing. I literally watched a user that equated LGBT to pedophiles get banned the other day.
