He wasn't nearly thrown out of anywhere. There also is literally 0 risk of being "thrown out" of the US over banning forum users.
But yes, you agree to Wal-Marts rules when you enter their property. Whatever rules they wish, actually, as people learned during the Covid Lockdown the hard way.
And calling a 1800 number, doesn't matter if your console and banned or account is banned. They have never undone it.
Inb4 moderated for this post.
I got those calls as customer support. Xbox doesn't have a phone number or any contact for their enforcement team(the teams that handles punishments) and only have a website where you can appeal. You can only appeal once and if it's denied, that's final.
Well they have the number. I called them about a game recently. And they have a decent refund policy, where "money" gets put back on your card. Not all this wallet nonsense.
And so, over there, i don't even see a need for any punishments, because as a company, aside from the courts or law enforcement, they don't have the ability to "punish" anyone.
That's here, where people feel they have to do their corporate duties. In the real word, they give you the finger or call a cop and take you to small claims. That's how it works. I never once had to post anything over there.
Steam puts money back on your card too if you paid via card....
They also do have the ability to punish people and ban users, brick systems, and block their xbox's from being able to connect or even download any games they purchased....
Never happened to me. I been with them, has to be more than 20 years now. No bricks, no bans, warnings, nothing.
Yep, just like on steam you aren't punished unless you break the rules.
I'm out.
Look, i act with customer services there, on the phone, exactly as i act here. The most i get is some giggle by some young lady who think i may remind her of her dad. And so, idk what this about. They need a Chat option about a particular game, a phone number, and end these forums for customer services and relying on bots to enforce them.
Moderation is selective. The "why" is irrelevant.

Two weeks and counting... slow clap to you, Steam.
Sounds like you should take the advice of ignoring, what you feel is a rule violation isn't the law. You don't have to like that person, heck you aren't even required to help him out if he was on fire afterall....
Right look, it is highly unfair. And yes, reality is what it is. And again, i know it's easy for me to say, being i'm not nearly as invested as maybe many of you all are, in Steam.
But the fact is, the company went from hero, to zero, and in the end, the games you purchased or will purchase, all dependent on this very system you cite.
And so, i just say go elsewhere with your business. You have Epic, GoG, Xbox, PS, Ge Force Now, Nintendo etc et al. You don't need Steam, nor should ANYONE be dictated too, in any way by any company.
That can end up being very dangerous, and with this AI crap these "geniuses" created, likely to get much worse.
They want to ban people, or not, fine. But don't expect their money.
