No connection when I try to download a game (mac) (FIXED)
I have wifi and works great with steam but it goes bad when I try and download a game let me explain.. it goes up a little bit then stops then says no connection even though I have internet I have to disconnect my internet and reconnect it just for it to continue a little more then do it again its really pissing me off sense I'm trying to download a game that's 64.74 GB at the time of me making this discussion the download is at 402.52 MB and my steam still says no connection And also waiting around until my steam connects dont work instead it acts like im in offline mode even though im not and the downloading changes to a download button that cant be interactable please some help would be nice and also I am writing this on mobile because well you know

FIX

NVM unplugging and replugging the router fixed my issue I couldn't do it before because my family wouldn't like that the reason why I could have done it now because everyone was having internet issues and unplugging it fixed it for everyone ima leave this discussion open for anyone else having the same problem

Maybe your router tries to be "smart", blocking large downloads from "obscure" ports...

If unsure, try a different place to see if the problem persists (in which case your Mac would be the culprit) or not (your router or ISP would be the culprit).

So I just uninstalled steam and reinstalled it to see if it works if not ill try that out

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago, downloads would stop for no internet when everything else was working. In my case it an unstable IPv6 connection. Rebooting the router fixed it.

Ima just see if I can just keep disconnecting and reconnecting the internet which brings it up a little may take a while but I think it can be done because I ran out of options

Turning off Private Relay fixed the problem!
System Settings> Apple ID> iCloud> Private Relay> Off.
