Ripped off by Steam The Walking Dead/Fear the Walking Dead
I bought each season as they came, paid a lot of money for all of them but I couldn't buy the last ones right away due to funds and disability. Now I try to buy them and find I can't purchase. I can understand not continuing but to deprive people of finishing their collections?

I feel like steam has robbed me of a lot of money

Sorry but all I see here is nonsense amounting to fanboism, Steam sold a product but wont allow me to buy the final season, I view it as ripping me off, Someone sells you all but the final piece of something and you act like you wouldn't complain about it?

Bull

All I see is someone who clearly does not understand how stuff works.

Valve (and for that matter any company) can pick and choose the content and type of content they want to provide and for how long. How you feel about it is irreverent. Maybe you should start reading the stuff you agree to when you create accounts. Just like Netflix removes series and movies all the time so can Valve.

So either buy the series some place else or don't. No here cares, nor does Valve.

So, if you bought those seasons from Acme Video Store and they went out of business almost 4 years ago...

...would you still be ranting like this about how Acme robbed you?

Like, join reality here, sir.

The thing people are disagreeing with is your claim that Valve ripped you off. They didn't, you were presumably given everything that you purchased. They no longer operate the service you are wanting, but the product you want is available in several other places.

It's not fanboism, it's people responding to what they see as misinformation or false accusations.

Fair, but harsh.

From what you said in your original post they did give you the option to buy it. Through personal circumstances you didn't but the option was there. It's hardly their fault that when you felt your circumstances improved enough to allow you to buy them they'd withdrawn from the market.

You do understand they have to pay a license fee to the programs owners to be able to offer them for sale, a cost they're not going to want to or should have to incur on the off chance somebody suddenly decides to buy the last season years after they've closed the service.

At least they didn't pull an Apple and remove access to the content you already own when they stopped paying licensing rights for a number of films.

The final season wasn't up for sale, look I'm not asking for something free I spent a couple hundred dollars buying each season yet people seem to think it's just SO much to ask that I be able to compete the series. If someone were to sell you a car, you pay in payments then they withheld the last piece, the engine, they have it it's right there in stock but nope you can't get it, you'd be mad as hell. Ok it's nto a car but the same idea. All this oh you don't know how things work, no I very much do and this is BS soo yes I DO feel ripped off and all this garbage that it's just on me is just that, garbage, wait until it's all of you people, karma's a mean drunk that way.

It doesn't really matter. These types of videos just didn't sell well at all and other factors made it too much of a burden to keep the non-game videos up and running...

No one is saying that. In fact you've been repeatedly told you can complete the series, you just have to buy it on a different site.

Your analogy makes no sense, you got everything you paid for. Its more akin to you buying a car and not being able to afford some accessories for it and then finding out the shop no longer sells the accessories when you went looking for them 3 years later...

Whether you FEEL like you got ripped off is irrelevant as you didn't get ripped off, you got exactly what you paid for. Plus you are still able to complete the series if you wish.

But it's not really like your car analogy. You got the entire car that you bought. Now you want to buy the next model, but that particular dealer shut down. So are you going to claim the dealer ripped you off, or are you going to just buy from the other shop across the street?

I've been collecting films and TV since the days of VHS, so not being able to buy something on a single platform when it's freely available elsewhere really isn't going to bother me.

My advice is to take a step back, take a deep breath and let your anger go, because it really isn't worth getting worked up about.

None of this has anything to do with Karma.
It's just you refusing to read what was written and make up stuff instead.
Not cool.
