Steam should introduce Minecraft.

The rights owner is the only one that could bring that to Steam, but since that's basically a microsoft thing I have doubts of that happening. It would be nice to be standalone instead of Microsoft based. Thus, contact microsoft/mojang.

Mojang and Microsoft don't want Java or Bedrock on Steam.

Yeah I did this for a while, works fine. It doesn't access any Steam features, but at least you can launch it from the platform.

Go to the "Games" tab on top of the screen, and select "Add non-Steam game to library."

Microsoft would need to introduce Minecraft to Steam, not the other way around. They've proven willing with Minecraft Legends and Minecraft Dungeons being on Steam.

The truth of Minecraft though is that it's a rare example of a PC game that's successful and well known outside of Steam, which actually disincentivises them to put it on Steam due Valve taking their cut.
