How do I hide my Steam Activity?

How do I hide it? It seems that the only thing that works is to make your profile completely private. Is there another way?

*I am referring to the Activity tab where it shows what game did you buy, wishlisted, etc.

Go offline before you do anything

So for example I purchase a title whilst offline it won't appear on my "ACTIVITY FEED"?

Go on chat menu (fiends & chat) lover right corner and select "invisible" right next to your portrait....

No. That would still appear then.

appearing offline or invisible doesnt stop your purchases from showing up in activity

best thing to do is post a status update to your activity feed and say look ive been hacked its not me buying porn games on my account ok then purchase your porn games.

hiding a game from your games list does not stop it from appearing as a purchase in your activity feed.

You can set your profile to private, buy the game, and then change it back to public.
Anything you do while your profile is private will not appear in your feed, even if you change it back to public afterwards.

Never knew that so basically any activity in private state is invisible

oh good idea, set your entire profile to private, didnt think about that.

Ok so the best thing to have some privacy from what I buy or play I have to not buy or pay.. ok.

Have the whole profile set on private, that way nothing can be shown.

theres setting to set your games private (profile - privacy settings - game details)
I'm not sure if it excludes your activity from feed, but it definitely shows nothing in profile page.

Now if you use the steam beta client there is a new option when you buy a game and add it to your cart where you can set each individual game purchase to private. So it doesen't show anywhere for anyone.
