WTF？why stop supporting Windows 7？

I have many valid reasons for not wanting to upgrade to Win10.

For example, I have too many applications and games installed, it seems to be over 300~500, and if I were to upgrade to WIN10, there are too many programs that would need to be downloaded and installed, registered and configured again, which is quite a hassle and could take days.

And with my hardware running fine on WIN7 and games, there is no need to upgrade.

I have tried installing WIN10 as a second boot system and trying to use it, but it doesn't seem to fit my hardware, there is a noticeable reduction in performance on the same configuration, and I just play games, I don't need to upgrade for the sake of so-called security.

Forcing an upgrade would be like STEAM interrupting my game service, which is actually a violation of player rights, Keep at least one version for Win7 players that will be available for a long time and will not be upgraded, even if there is only a basic function to launch the game.

when I choose to continue using an outdated system it naturally means I can be held responsible for my choices, such as if the system is hacked or running a ransomware virus.

Aye firefox allready stopped support for w7 in it current form and asked to switch to the esr one , esr that will support windows 7 till september.
So it's the date that some people targeted as a bad things , well it's not the end of the world as firefox won't stop working after this date

Apparently Defender on 7 isn't a full antivirus program though - it's only Windows Defender Antivirus on 10 and 11. Only antispyware on 7.

It just test some area in scheduled time like registry change, and can scan program and better run another one capable of real time check.

Yes browser have usually they own blocking stuff relying on other part, i think it's still google for ff xd
So better use addon for script blocking like uo as you can use third party list or your own inside it.
And do not worry , addon won't stop working after september. I am still using ff not esr and everything is still working.

dont worry soon ads wont work on win 7 nativly for it wont have the codec to read them wich is better than any adblocker

Yes Firefox will "still function" after September 2024 but without security updates you should not be using it any more. After Firefox stops updates it becomes a security risk. As others said: Ad blockers and script blockers will stop working, and then no security updates = no one should ever use firefox (or chrome is already stopped issuing updates for Windows 7 users too) after september 2024. Once Firefox stops issuing security updates then that is the end for windows 7 users. There will never be any web browser that can be used safely in Windows 7 ever again. There will never be any safe way to browse websites or browse the internet in Windows 7 ever again in time. So yes that is exactly the "Bad thing" everyone is talking about: No more safe web browsing in Windows 7 after September 2024.
