Need Help Configuring Untangle / Arista NG Firewall at Home for Steam Client
Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me. I have an Arista (formerly known as Untangle) NG Firewall at Home. I like it because it is highly configurable, fast, and keeps me safe. However, I am not able to get Steam to work on my home network. The Steam client opens, but I am unable to download any games. I get "No Internet Connection" on the page with the downloads.

Steam is the only thing that I have not been able to get to work on my home network. I'm not sure why I can't get it to work. I have tried many different settings in different places, but the problem in this case is that the NG Firewall is almost too configurable. I have looked at this page: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/2EA8-4D75-DA21-31EB. But, there are so many places where I can make configuration changes and I don't want to overly expose my network to the outside.

I can't figure out what is preventing the communication from going through. It is possible that I don't have the logging/reporting configured properly to show me the problem.

Does anyone have any experience configuring Untangle / Arista NG Firewall for use with Steam?

In case anyone else has this issue, I found the answer here: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/2/3839927819744617848/?ctp=1

It was Limit IP Address Tracking turned on in network settings.
