Steam Strategy Fest... what to buy?
Been browsing almost an hour, I don't really see it.
There was couple of games that I thought might be it, but no after reading reviews.
What game is there on discount that you believe is/are "really must buy" game?

Civilization 5 & 6 are always good long hours/days of gameplay, fun with friends, and can always pick up where left off so don't have to play whole match in one sitting.

Age of Empires series is always good, game can last hour, or so fun with friends, and stuff.

Civ series is great for strategy games beginner. Really easy to play with a well designed UI unlike most strategy games. Both also has very active modding community so you can mix and match mods to suit your style. Crusader kings 3 is also quite decent, leans more one the RPG side. If you want a blend of those two, old world is a good pick.

Another game that is unfortunately not on sale is humankind, but worth putting it on your wishlist. The game is a sidegrade of the civ series, but it's main feature is you can change culture each era, so unlike civ playstyle of one major power spike, humankind each era you have something unique to look for.

Strategyfest has really highlighted how weak the strategy game market is.

Funny that you say that because that's almost always what I think about every single "fest"...

Normally would totally agree on civ 5 but honestly since they added the 5k launcher I swear they messed with AI coding or something. The AI can win no problem on prince difficulty unless you go semi-warmonger even if you go for a civ that has good bonuses for certain victory types. that is just my experience with civ 5 tho <3

definitely a great choice for sure and only really needs war of the chosen DLC to be a great banger in my opinion :) not that the base game is bad played and beat several times on base game and its still amazing. also has some good mods out there as well for more variety (perk roulette is always a fun one to try or getting only 1 soldier type shotgunners only was a blast whaha)

Company of Heroes 3 is now on sale. I would recommend the series. Quite an enjoyable and solid group of games. CoH3 is still a little rough around the edges, having just released earlier this year, but well worth the price.
