Age of Empires series is always good, game can last hour, or so fun with friends, and stuff.
Another game that is unfortunately not on sale is humankind, but worth putting it on your wishlist. The game is a sidegrade of the civ series, but it's main feature is you can change culture each era, so unlike civ playstyle of one major power spike, humankind each era you have something unique to look for.
Civilization 6
Galactic Civilizations 4
Victoria 3
Europa Universalis 4
Crusader Kings 3
Northguard
Civilizaton 6
Ocupy Mars
Frostpunk
Dungeons 3 is quite good and very cheap right now.
Normally would totally agree on civ 5 but honestly since they added the 5k launcher I swear they messed with AI coding or something. The AI can win no problem on prince difficulty unless you go semi-warmonger even if you go for a civ that has good bonuses for certain victory types. that is just my experience with civ 5 tho <3
