why is cod dead on pc?

why do the company just throw them away so easy as cash grabs



on console they don't cheat and people play those like crazy still.




i wish i can enjoy any cod on pc but they are all dead

this is why i hate they bundled the game, its legit false advertising since you don't know mw2s play count and only them combinded.

CoD is dead on all platforms, not just PC. Activision is to blame.

Most old titles on PC, users use Plutonium to get past the RCE exploit.

Cod is well alive on the consoles. I think the player base is at least 10 to 20 times larger than on the pc. It's very easy to find games in older titles, even for different game modes.

I think certain cod games such as bo3 could easily maintain 10k players on steam, if there wasn't such a rampant cheating problem. The player count always significantly rises during sales, it recently peaked to over 15k players in bo3, but quickly drops again when people realize it's a cheating mess.

I wish I could enjoy them here too, but thanks to all the cheaters I'll no longer buy multiplayer games on the PC. I made an exception for Mw2 to try it out on the steam deck, which could be a truly fun game, if there weren't so many wall hackers already.

The thing is, if you plan to play lots of cod then a console is the way to go. Cod allows native mouse and keyboard even on a ps5, it almost feels like playing on a pc. Sure, a console can not compete with a high end $3000 gaming pc 200hz setup, but it will feel good enough. The mouse and keyboard input feels exaclty like pc. Not having to play against cheaters is a huge improvement. I think multiplayer games have no future on the pc platform, because the cheating problem is only getting worse.

Well the question is why does cod even exists on pc. Like the whole idea of cod game is that you invite friends over to you house with their own gamepads, boot cod and play splitscreen with bots. Even online is so much better on consoles becouse you are aiming with controller, that means that nobody cant shoot and you have chance. When I bought mw3 on pc I was disgusted, like how can this even exist. So far the best cod experience on pc was when I played mw2 on ps3 emulator with 18 fps and moded bots.

Because aim assist on PC is superior to consoles.
