Driving sims
I don't drive for real so is playing games with driving in them generally a bad match up? or should i be trying to get better with driving sims?

Conclusion: traded my outdated PS2 controller for Xbox 4 controller.

Depends on the game and how well controller support is implemented, but generally, yes, a controller makes it easier due to the usage of analog inputs instead of digital.

Instead of going full throttle with the press of the button you can use only a bit instead. Or instead of turning the wheel at full speed, just a tiny bit for a small correction.

But again, depends on how well controller support was implemented into the game.

You learn to drive by taking real life driving lessons. How to operate the wheel, clutch, brake and manual gear shift that's all muscle memory. A video game won't teach you that.

Some countries require you to be able to recognize a lot of traffic situations and you'll be quizzed about what to do in specific situations. If that's the case in your country you might want to check if there's a government run website that can teach you some of that. Learning to recognize road signs, what's dangerous in certain situations, you can get a lot of that knowledge from a website.

But to actually drive on a public road (and to do it safely for yourself and others), you have to take driving lessons for that. Getting to know how to drive a car - any car - takes practice to turn you into a confident driver. But millions have done it before you so you can do that too.

Driving sims can be quite accurate but you need the right equipment, wheel, gearbox...
Do you ENJOY driving Sims? That's the important question here. If you do, git gud. If you don't there's no shortage of arcade racers out there. Well, that, and you indeed need the right gear if you want to excel at a simulator.

getting used to right controller might be better than switching controllers to get gud at driving sims. or just look into more games that take the driving out of the game. cause im either going to stay bad at driving or i can learn driving with the right gear. game is easier for me if i don't feel forced to drive. the game i have is 'gold rush the game'. am i just all around bad at driving or need correct controllers? or i can play it so i do little driving, what im bad at is coupling trailers. i think im scared of driving can drive forward ok but only see so good under conditions the game sets. if i practice with one controller will i be still bad with another controller? or is it more learning how the game handles it. i once decided not buy a game cause it had driving in it but that wasn't the main focus of the game. i have a ps2 controller. if i wanted do driving correctly would i want the gear close to real?
What kind of driving sims are we talking about? Euro/American Truck Simulator? Lake? Motor Town?

They all are rather basic, but that's also kinda their appeal. Just enjoy the ride.

Is the game easier for you without driving, or is it more enjoyable for you without driving? DO YOU ENJOY THE ACTUAL DRIVING?
i have a construction similator game im prett bad at driving too. so would the correct controller make me better at both games?
im just not sure controller make a difference or in should be avoiding these games.
i enjoy a country road but i make small mistakes all the time.
i think its a matter getting 'used to' the driving in my games.

my weakness is handling the roll of the car.
i might need configure controller better for my games, cause it seems its only go and stop. and go seems to fast like full throttle.
like going from full stop to instantly 20mph.

Wait, what? In what game do cars roll?
