Saint's Row 1 on steam?

Think this will ever get a PC release? it's the only SR I've played but I really liked it back in the day when I played it.

The original SR1 will probably never come to Steam.
However, Saint's Row Reboot should have been released 2022.
They have pushed Steam release date to 2023, no date just the year.
Will it ever get released on Steam, your guess is as good as mine.

Considering the rather poor reception of the reboot, i wouldn't consider buying it.

From what I have seen and heard, I have no real desire to play the reboot. I might be wrong but it looks like they forgot what made SR 1-4 fun in the first place.

I don't think SR1 will ever be released on Steam, but then it doesn't really need to be imo. SR2 is a better game, and is on Steam, and is so dated that it's almost hard to play being a rather poor console port. Great game, no denying that but it's just kinda awkward.

SR3 is excellent, and SR 4 is... Different. But I still really liked it.

Considering how Volition quickly dropped Idol Ninja's plans to get a working release of SR2 on PC as soon as he died, I wouldn't expect them to ever put SR1 on PC.

They lost the source code to the first game from what I understand, so unless they remake it from the ground up or someone finds the source code buried in some hard drive, it's not happening.

It's a real shame too, the first one was much more grounded. 2 is probably the better game but 1 is still my favorite. I'd love to be able to play it again. 3 and 4 were just too much. They were good as their own thing but lacked what I liked about the first 2.
