Fantasy Grounds Unity
If I already have a Unity license that I got from FG and not from Steam, should I also need to buy the game in steam so I can buy the extensions? like D&D books?
Or is therea way to also buy this books from steam without buying the game in steam?

If the DLC requires the base game on Steam to purchase it, yes. You would need to purchase Fantasy Grounds Unity on Steam.

I honestly can't sift through over 2,600 DLCs to see if any do or don't require the base game.
