Random Chats Being Sent To Friend Sending Link For A $50 Steam Card
I recently got a dm on disc asking if i got hacked on steam, I went over to check and saw nothing out of the usual but when I went to my Steam DMS, I saw there was one link that was sent saying "sup, gift steam $50 balance for you, just claim it" with a link of a supposedly link telling him to redeem it. But I hadnt sent it, so was I hacked? I have steamguard up and malwarebytes but nothing is showing. Can i get some help

If your account is sending out maliocus links to friends then it is shadow-hijacked. Secure your account immediately with the following steps:-

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

and stop giving away your credentials to scam sites because that's how accounts get compromised so easily. Steam Guard can't save you if you give away your credentials and a live auth code to a fake login.

I'd also report this to Steam Support because if your friends report your account for sending out links, it'll likely get locked.

The link was a fake Steam Community URL that was obviously misspelled, horribly too.

These are being sent through chats on Steam from Steam friends that are hijacked.

Same story here, like 6 hours ago. Was out, steam was left turned on, got call from friend that im sending messages with links to catch 50$.
Im like 99% sure that my PC was clean, no chance for having some 3rd programs, using bitdefender ( yeah doesnt matter.. ) and also, u will say im lieing BUT I've never logged with my steam account credientals on other websites. Acc is secured with token, im logging to the steam manually each time i run the PC, also im using steam only with one PC for years. Even not logging to steam with my laptop.
There was no other devices logged on my account as i checked. Weird..

Any advice?
Where do i report to steam this situation to avoid getting locked?

Not necessarily that you're lying, but it's quite possible (and very likely in this situation) that you unknowingly gave your credentials away to a phishing site that was posing as Steam at some point.

For 99% im sure there is no chance of any action like that..
There is no option that steam support might take a look on it and trace how it comes my account sent 150 messages in almost same time? ( ofc there is :) )

if they fake the website well enough, you would never know the difference.

Most people who fall for scams think they would never fall for one.

If you're sending spam messages, guess what, you were compromised. Guess how that happens. You logged into a scam website. If you don't want to believe that, well you're going to be vicitmized again by you own ignorance in the future. If that impacted only you, I probably woudln't care. But your refusal to acknowledge your own issues, means other people will suffer and other people will be impacted by your willful ignorance. Think on that

Well either you did it or someone with access to your account did and was botting scam messages to your friends list. Better inform Support of this before they lock your account. You are about the 15th person who's fallen for this exact scam in the past 18 hours on here so clearly you've all fallen for the same old scam. This one hasn't been prominent for a long time either although it was huge back in 2017 so it's probably easy to trace the actual source.

You could've all been compromised recently and only now are the scammers acting. This way they can disguise the source rather than implement themselves immediately which gives them away. You should think back to where you went wrong.
