Not everyone celebrates Easter, and the Spring sale was not too long ago at this point.

they dont make enough games on steam maybe....

This. Very much this. Steam already is ripe with constant sales. There's some sale literally every moment, do we really need more of those?

Publishers can do their own sales if they want, like this one.

Not everyone celebrates new years, we still have that event.

Steam is willing to lose profits just to pretend there is no such thing as Easter.

Valve never held an Easter sale themselves. They'd rather stick to their own themed sales.

Question.
Why would it be a good thing to have a Sale which "celebrates" that a (maybe Real Person) got murdered?

Inb4 "attack on religions" hyperbole.

steam has always been neutral on religious holidays, i guess it works out for the best since you cant please everyone, so its better to make up themed sale events

Plus, they just kinda pick at random when they wanna do events to avoid showing favoritism/bias it looks like.

It's neat when quick little "represent x community" sales pop up, tbh.

There's Easter, people spend time at home, they could also spend some money on Steam sale, but Steam can't have the sale during Easter, because they try hard to look neutral.

Is it that hard to understand?
