Steam Staff
I'd just like for us all to take a moment to appreciate steam support staff and all they do for us.

I've had the opportunity, once again, to really see that steam support staff is REALLY hearing us. that they are being compassionate, understanding, and considerate.

They are human, and just trying to do their job.

They can only support our community in the way they know, so if you feel there is something that could be improved... you should really just talk to them.

It's not like some companies where you call and all you get is an automated system, and its most certainly not one of those rude companies that give you an oprator/agent, button just to have the system either loop you back through the automated or just flat out hangs up on you, there are real people... for all the good and bad that comes with that... there and ready.

You just need a LITTLE bit of patience.

Recently, I spent some time expressing a concern I'd seen across the steam boards wide, itd come up a few times and I presented it to them when it did.

Even more recently yet still, I've started seeing noticeable improvement upon that which concerned me (thanks to steam staff actions) and it just makes me so damn happy.

I hope you guys notice it as well, and I hope you guys can also take a moment to show the steam support staff at least a bit of appreciation.

Positive only, for this thread, please.

as you said they're just doing their job so i'm hesitant to call them being compassionate or considerate. i'm not ever ready to praise a company beyond that, they are not your friends

but yes, i generally do not have problems with steam support, although sometimes it can be difficult to get a non-copypasted response and you need to be a little persistent before you get a human response, once i finally get someone to actually look at the ticket it's usually been resolved quickly

I've only needed to deal with Steam support once in nearly 20 years which by itself highlights the quality and reliability of this service, and that one encounter went as well as I could possibly have hoped. This was before they had a refund system in place. I had bought Fallout New Vegas on release day accidentally when my wife was logged in. (This was also before she had her own PC.) They graciously refunded the purchase as a "one time courtesy" so I could buy the game through my own account where I had originally intended. Nice folks.

Ich weiß nicht, aber ich denke das automatisierte Antworten ist jetzt kein wirkliches Indize darüber ob jemand seine Arbeit macht, wenn man überhaupt Antworten zum Inhalt erhält.

Dude steam staff is crazy good. I forgot my password and couldn't change it because I wasn't logged into Steam on my phone. The guys at steam just CHANGED MY PASSWORD FOR ME. So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool how they did that ♥♥♥♥ for me. They also helped me recover my account from being hacked when the hacker not only changed the name, password, email, and profile of my account. They are really helpful and really chill. W steam staff.
I'd rather not support this Company

They don't listen to us, why should we listen to them.
