However the sacrifice of Christ is supposed to absolve you of all that guilt and sin, so you're supposed to feel eternally grateful for that sacrifice in spite of your unworthiness.
If you want to stay in the faith, it's easier not to think about it too much. Thought leads to doubt, and doubt leads to a loss of faith. Once that doubt gets in there it cannot be removed. This is how I lost it. The doubt settles in permanently.

I should think God's biggest gripe would be if you excessively spent your money on games on Steam, to the extent that it affects your balance in life. Don't neglect the people and responsibilities you've been blessed with in favor of gaming.
Yes, I suppose mind-altering substances would be a cure for perceiving reality as it is.
Reality is baffling enough for me without chemically twisting my perception of it. I'm really just hanging on with the short time I have.
