I strongly disapprove of steam using chrome browser...
as opposed to programming it themselves...

it's a lazy shortcut in development and I've always been opposed to this sort of practice.. and people always said "well it it doesn't effect you why do you care?"

ok, well now t's effectng me and steam shouldn't have been so lazy as to have discontinued their own development of their platform and to just pass it off to google.

strong dissapporval.

I mean ya... probably... but that's like saying apple and IOS aren't the same thing... they kinda are.

Actually its more like saying apples and apple pie aren't the same thing. They might both have some elements in common, but they are two very different things.

tho within the context of the conversation you were perfectly aware of what I meant...or did you just want to debate the complexities of the english language?

Not really, they are very different and its very common. Also basically all software development re-uses the code from others, or uses open source work. Its incredibly wasteful to try to develop everything from scratch, and far buggier then using open sourced or available existing modules.

Steam would be far buggier, far more exploitable, development far slower, etc if they took your advice.

ok... so you're going to sit there and tell me that the chrome browser doesn't use the "chromium platform" or w.e words you want to twist it in?

Nope, already went over this. Just like I mentioned that while an apple pie might use apples they are still two very different things. They have some elements in common just like an apple has elements in common with an apple pie.

Steam / Valve doesn't care if you "strongly disapprove" :steamfacepalm: It's their client and they can do with it what ever they want.
