Big G no longer uses Captchas to train AI. reCaptcha, later acquired by them, used this to help transcribe/OCR scanned books, but text-only captchas are hardly used anymore, at least by high-profile sites that have something to lose.
Making an own, 2023-proof captcha is much harder than you might think though, and given that OP somehow got past it, that's probably still better than simply locking out legitimate users.

If you're going to run a store, try leaving the door unlocked. Or at least have someone standing around to open it. How many thousands of customers do you think this bug has turned away over the MANY months you have had this problem? Ridiculous.

IDK if it's really related but I search "recaptcha sucks" on google and click on plenty of links and they don't bother me for a while....
