Refund problem (Jedi Survivor)
I've tried to put in a refund for Jedi Survivor, as I've spent months waiting since release to be able to play it properly.
The game does not run properly and my hardware surpasses the minimum requirements and it strong enough that it should be able to run it with no problems at 1080p 60fps but I barely struggle to maintain anything over 45.
Despite all this, and mentioning that I should be elligible to receive a refund under the ACCC I was denied almost immediately.
Any help on how to take this further would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows Steam's ABN and ACN for their Australian division please let me know.

If you've owned it for more than 2 weeks or played it more than 2 hours, they can deny your request. You can try again by going to your purchase history, finding the game, and then "I have a question about this purchase." People often get a better result that way. But if it's been "months" then don't count on it. They often give exceptions if you're only slightly past the limit, but it sounds like you're pretty far beyond it.

It's not or it's and. You have to have owned it less than 2 weeks and have less than 2 hours of playtime.

That means that you can't spend months trying to get it to work and then expect to get a refund.

No you are not entitled to a refuind under the ACCC, You have the right to request a refund but you are not entitled to have it granted.

The ACCC would only apply if the product is defective. The game does not meet the criteria.

Once again, sitting on a game that for months on end that should have, and could have easily been refunded within one hour of purchase is not the developers' fault, nor is it Valve's fault.

The poor decision you made by not refunding the game immediately is yours, and yours alone OP, and no law is going to get out out of your own personal responsibility.

Send manual ticket, be polite, describe what happens and why you've decided to wait instead of refunding. Whatever decision you will get will be final.

This is a rather Jedi Survivor topic tbh.

This is clearly the fact that your system has an issue when running the game.
The game works fine for thousands of other players, so the issue is not the game.

Just a little notice aside, with every purchase on Steam you agree to step down from your regular national refunding rights and gonna follow Valve's policy of "max. 2h/2w".

And as the problem's clearly on *your* end you don't even need to think about further steps as they only apply if a game is indeed broken - which isn't the case here as thouuuusands of users have finished it without a single problem.

You can try a manual ticket, as mentioned in post #1.

Why did you wait a month and not just refund immediately? Did you want to "give the game a chance"? Cause that's not smart reasoning.

Some of you have actually made very good points. I think I may have jumped the gun a bit here and let my assumptions lead me into making an overall useless decision that most likely wont amount to anything.
I apologise for my ignorance, and I appreciate the feedback that has been given from those who have given it.

Are you still having issues after yesterday's update?
