Steam mods banning trans people for defending themselves.
Called someone a salty sea dog after they followed me onto muttiple threads commenting on the fact that I am trans where It had no place. Steam support is super slow in addressing issues and the forum moderation needs some serious work.

As far as I know, "My Knowlege",, trans, gay, lesbians, furries, ufos etc., all belong to that one "respectful community", the LGBT++++.
Being furry has nothing to go with LGBT, while many may BE LGBT. And it's okay if you're not "up to date", as long as you're kind and treat people kind. To err is human, as they say.
So, I saw Furries (on the internet) holding the rainbow flag, being in lgbt pride stands, and so on, which is why I said, according to "My knowledge."
It's really hard to keep up with this stuff. :steamfacepalm:

What you saw were either furries being supportive/allies, or you saw some LGBT furries. You don't need to be a part of a demographic to be supportive.

But hey, learning something new to you isn't always easy, y'know?

i question the seriousness of the person you're replying to given they also listed UFOs as part of the LGBT community

When you put "respectful community" in quotes like that, you make it pretty clear that you do not find them to be a respectful community. I won't disagree that there is a vocal minority of very angry, antagonistic people. But we have to remember that goes both ways, I certainly would NOT call the many people on these forums screaming about anything remotely LGBQ to be very respectful, if anything they seem much worse. And even when people state some version of "it's fine as long as I don't have to see it" that is also not respectful.
See, that's why I think you are trying to argue; I am just showing respect; there is no need to start a conspiracy theory.
That community: Why not say the lgbt, you clearly blah blah blah.
LGBT: Why not lgbtqrs? You are blah blah blah.
LGBT+: why summition? Why not multiplication? You are clearly blah blah blah.

After all my bad, I stumbled across this thread and decided to engage, I should've not.

Have a wonderful day, everyone. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Likely insincere, yes. But it costs me nothing to be kind, welcoming, and help inform others.

Exactly, That's why you never hear about them in my country. You may get away by being "gay or lesbian", but trying to do surgery to "switch characters" would lead you to be a new patient in the mental hospital.
That is a big NO NO.
Besides that, they will be facing a lot of unwanted hatred since the people are mostly religious and believe in only two genders.
No Swap.
That's the rub with religion, it enables and emboldens people to hate others. Granted, I'm aware that's not what religion or faith is about, and I know hateful people, would just go on to the next excuse to hate.

But the issue with fundamentalism in religion is that the religion/sect stagnates, and begin to see EVERYONE who doesn't think/believe as they do as enemies.

For its people to grow, so too should the beliefs/religion. The Pope has lectured on this exact thing, fundamentalism and stagnation in Catholicism.

--> No, religions are an "artificial crutch" for centuries now.
Putting blinders on people, covering their ears, adding stones on the back, and hand-cuffs and braces on the hands & legs. Finally, taking money too.
Helps no one!

It is utterly useless in the last 200-300 years, just another kind of businesses making money.

For humanity to grow, religions should be simply gone, or at least - de-bussinessfied. :)
The business-oriented model does not work, IMHO.

The current list is LGBTQIA2S+ but LGBT+ works just fine. The people who complain, are a very small minority portrayed as a stereotype.

Just like hurtful stereotypes about followers of Islam and bomb vests.

I agree that we need to crack down on churches that try to run the religion as a business, and we also need to crack down on tax exemption alongside churches who try to preach politics.

I strongly believe in separation of church and state, but all out restricting faith isn't how we get there.

Snowflakes, Seriously, That other finely educated human (See, I haven't used the double quotes.) started a conspiracy theory just because I said "respectful community", I was trying too hard not to be disrespectful or miss identify someone; I just wanted valid points, not argue and waste my time with someone who clearly wants to find any flaw in my posts.

Shame.

Let me clarify something:
All my information is from the web, "the internet" (I used double quotes, omg). We don't have them irl, so it's interesting for me to know about them and why they do this and that.

Also, remember that English is not my first language (omg impostor), so spare me your grammatical single or double quotes. conspericy theories.

You likely do have LGBT folk in your area, they're just in hiding due to fear of persecution. Religious fundamentalism drives people to do horrible things in the name of their religion.

A teacher was murdered because she was ACCUSED of blasphemy over in Iran. No trial, nothing. While I get, your area is not like Iran, it's still controlled to a degree by religion.

Religion and people who "stick out" (fringe minorities) don't get along.

Iran never fails to impress me; in Syria, it would never happen, but they will be treated badly by society, despite being religious or not; it is more about dignity and honour (heritege); they are classed as a disgrace to society.
especially men, should never act otherwise.
I was raised this way; my parents taught me this, and schools taught us this.

So you can see why they'd decide to stay in hiding, instead.

I thought we were having a discussion, but if you want to call it an argument, fair enough.
If you were truthfully trying to be respectful and not ironic by referring to the LGBT crowd as "respectful community," then that's on me for misunderstanding, my bad.

But I have no idea what "conspiracy theory" you're implying I'm trying to start.
I have been bullied multiple times and every time I defend myself I get banned, but the other person also gets a ban so idk, why can't people be civil? Must be the upcoming world war...

The fact is that some people are animals. But I mean, who really cares? The internet is a volatile place and always has been...

If you hadn't tried to defend yourself, you wouldn't have gotten your account banned. You retaliated, which is exactly what that other person wanted you to do and you took the bait. You should have just reported it and moved on.
