In fact, according to the rules "Trolling or baiting arguments" are considered to be an example of "disrespectful content" and thus are against the rules. Just because someone accuses you of being a troll doesn't instantly mean you will lose all credibility, it depends on if other people reading the thread and that specific reply believe said accusation. That is up for people reading the thread themselves to decide.
If someone is genuinely derailing the thread and just name-calling you, report them.
I received a forum ban for calling someone a "trol". Its just instance of selective moderation.
If someone is trolling, you better bet I'ma call them out. Then proceed to slap that ignore button and starve em out.

Sure, a Troll could also be a Demon or giant. Thats where the word cam from. But in context. As in, online in chat etc. if some one calls you a Troll, you probably know why.^^

You intentionally or not touched on my issue precisely.
What you did is " jester-ing " ... which is not rude, funny, and completely acceptable.
Never in your " not-trolling" was there an attempt to directly target me or my right to have an opinion.
You are free to " make light " of someone's problem, so as to express your perspective that it is not that big of a deal, which is fine and even correct.
What should NOT be encouraged and rewarded are targeting of character and harrassment.
I wish for every person to be given the respect of being able to hold an opinion, express it and share it peacefully
These people, in a forum about a game, are talking about me.
The user is farming points, claiming he banned me,
while my only crime was responding too quickly,
and the moderator assuming i wanted attention, when in reality if there was an option to make the post not update the list i would always check it.
it is the definition of targeted harrassment, but it is still up.
One might argue that if multiple different people seem to all agree you are the problem, then the issue is much more likely to be with your behavior.
