Why do people or gamers prefer Riot Games over Steam???

I don't really understand, like Steam has alot of best games and some a little bit of worst games rated on steam, but why do people all over the world prefer riot games instead of steam? why is it more popular then steam?

I think you'd get more pro-Riot Games answers on their forums.
And I think they could benefit from coming to steam(more publicity).
I haven't really heard any clear shouted preference in either direction or is that just a gut feeling?

I just posted this because I'm feeling like people just prefers riot games more then steam, like my sister aint intrested in steam, she just prefers and likes riot games cause she plays valorant more then csgo thats how.

You know, launching an MMO and making the best kind of promotional videos to promote League of Legends (and their new incoming MMO based of the lore of it) which is still kicking as hard as ever...

I know. As I said, I'm certainly not unfamiliair with them, Tencent owns them which also is something people "rioted" about (punt intended).

But I'm not recognising the "they're very hot in media lately" at all, so that's why I asked about it.

True. I haven'theard anything, but then I don't keep my ear to gaming news. apparently they have some MMO coming out which, yeah nice but lets remember how the last few MMO's that came out turned out. The most recentone was the one that came out of amazon yes?

Lost Ark, yeah, I think that's the last major one.

Riot working on a LOL MMO is something I've heard about 1-2 years ago. I think it's slated for 2025 or so.
