Why do people or gamers prefer Riot Games over Steam???

I don't really understand, like Steam has alot of best games and some a little bit of worst games rated on steam, but why do people all over the world prefer riot games instead of steam? why is it more popular then steam?

This is what living under a rock is going to do to ya. Considering they've very hot in term of media presence lately.

You know, launching an MMO and making the best kind of promotional videos to promote League of Legends (and their new incoming MMO based of the lore of it) which is still kicking as hard as ever...

Or just not playing LoL and not being interested in miltiplayer games..... And instead throwing their money away on making promotional videos and fluffy toys maybe they should try making games that would interest different types of players too???

Different folks, different strokes. Sometimes it's a matter at what you tried first.

TBH I've never played a Riot game. I wouldn't touch LOL not even with a ten foot pole (I've played DOTA2 a few times, always Vs Bots) and I couldn't be less interested in anything related to competitive multiplayer.
