maximum number of items in the Steam inventory

Is there a maximum of items you can have in your inventory?

I don't think that there is a maximum inventory limit, especially for Steam items like trading cards and emoticons.

However, some games like TF2 and CS:GO (I think?) has an internal limit within the game to however many items you are allowed to have in its inventory until you either purchase a premium account or purchase an inventory expander.

Now I'm actually curious who has the largest accumulation of Steam items while we are at it.

Yes, we do have limits to our inventories depending on the game. Valve games usually come with a stock 1000 slots, with an exception going to Dota 2 at 3000 slots. TF2 has backpack expanders that extends it to a max of 2000 and CSGO has Storage boxes that can allow up to 1000 new items in the box, making the max inventory in CSGO to be 100000. Steam Cards and emoticons do not have a limit, can stack anything in the steam community tab to as high as you want.
