steam downloads on a gig connection is now only downloading at 100mbs instead of the usual 923mbs.
Ive only steam libraries on ssd's so no slow speeds due to disk access like what happens when you have a hdd in the library pool.

only steam is downloading at a fraction of my bandwidth again.

yaa i running ssd also, this issue actually has been going on for a while. this patch just made it worse.

Same problem here since the last update. All the download are capping to around 450mbps on my Gig Connection (previously used to be around 900/1000mbps. If someone have a solution please share it :). Waiting on the next steam update for a probable fix.

I have had the same problem for weeks, it is so bad i contacted my internet supplier and they checked my connection and found no problems with it, i tried 3 different modems and it is the same on all of them.
This is definitely Steams problem and i wish they would fix it.

I have found other discussions around this and no solution. cache and changing region does nothing. Speed has gone down for many since the update, mine is absurdly low rn.

For everybody who have this problem, I solved it on my side. In the Download Settings Tab in steam, the : '' Game File Transfer over Local Network '' option was ''ON''. Turning this off solved it for me. Ii don't need this since I have no other gaming PC in the house. My speed is now back to normal.

I don't know really, it seems to interfere with a network settings or something, even if you don't transfer anything and you only download a game. I tried downloading a couple of game after disabling this option and my speed is back to 900/1000mbps.
