You are experiencing ISP issues that are due to the ISPs being overzealous with their anti-gambling block.
https://in.ign.com/steam/187079/news/steam-video-game-distribution-platform-by-valve-including-community-and-market-unavailable-on-select
yea but more and more isps are doing the same today bsnl andhrapradesh blocked both store and community, others have blocked only community so far
no clue actual gambling apps are still working but steam is getting on shaky terrtory
Steam, Sony, Microsoft and all the rest just took the Russians money and ran off with it.
With zero repercussions too.
To me, and everybody else watching, it was theft, plain and simple.
Mass criminal organised theft.
By so called "business's"
What makes you think India wont be the next target?
Limit your purchases of digital goods with western "business's"
And try to support any Indian platforms instead if you can.
Good luck.
Peace.
International sanctions are a ♥♥♥♥♥. Why were those imposed again? Oh, right...
Well once Russia loses it's war and the sanctions are lifted I imagine one of the repercussions is Russians may not trust Western services so much...
Companies have to follow the laws imposed by their governments. Their govenrments sanctioned Russia because of Russia's warmongering. And it's too damn bad what your biases are about the situation.
Who's country is India trying to conquer? What are they doing that would warrant global sanctions? Nothing? Then I don't imagine they'll be randomly sanctioned.
Every customer is free to make their own choices.
steam walks a thin line with companys like microsoft, they are indentured servents to companies like this. the fact steam will drop support for windows 7 and soon after windows 10 only shows you that its real.
microsoft tells steam what to do, if steam doesn't listen microsoft hires a bunch of lawyers and judges for the people trying to sue steam and they push the lawsuits to cripple the company and do a hostile take over.
learn how business model works, as for indy ip blocks, most likely it is part of syria and iran, working along side with saudi now to create a UAU - United arabic Union
they want india to feel the pressure and move away from western purchases and start using there own arabic trading and game sites. recently china and saudi cut a huge deal, india is in the middle between them, giving both nations a easy means to block communitcation and transactions in the country.
Then, you just use money and blackmailing to stop them from removing the dependency so you can misuse your monopoly again and again.
Even China uses still MS Windows.
A large German city (Munich) that tried to switch to Linux "happened" to have the country's Microsoft headquarters move there and they "happened" to switch back to Windows.
If you want to fix this you can use Google dns. 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 and it's working for me.
I doubt Valve even care since India is like .6 of marketshare for steam.
