it's actually quite correct, game prices have remained largely static, and have not kept up with inflation.
How do you figure? Show your work.
Or rather how often are you paying $170 for games games these days?
Regardless, games aren't expensive, maybe it's a matter of perception, but you have to have a pretty narrow view or narrow experience to really believe otherwise as far as I can see.
Doesn't detract from the fact that games are still some of the cheapest entertainment for the price.
And isn't Genshin Impact Free to Play?
It is 100% factual. I was there. You have also offered no proof the contrary...because you cant.
I no longer do, and I'm not playing those games anymore either.
On the other hand, PC games have a rather significant lifetime. Not too long ago, I was playing "The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky". Technically, the game was released in 2004, but it did not come to the west until 2014. Still, it's been available for 9 years. I don't remember whether I had owned the Amiga for 9 years... probably.
And it's not "the oldest" game, just one of the older ones I've played recently.
The thing is, we don't have "generations". Yes, games might have bugs that don't show until some future operating system version, but at least in theory all the old software still runs (Win16 excluded, though). But, "Playstation" games don't run on "Playstation 2", "Playstation 2" games don't run on "Playstation 3" etc. We don't have this.

Yep, thats one of my go too articles. There were literally $70 games in the 80's, when a dollar was worth far more then it is today.
They are literally giving the game away, and still profitable from the MTX alone. This debunks any and all claims that games need to raise their bases prices to survive, especially games that are selling the core game, plus DLC, plus season passes, plus MTX, etc.
And ya do realize, wages have increased quite a bit since the 70's, so your comment in null?
