STOP USING CLOWN AWARDS
As a trusted member of the steam community, I appeal to all gamers and users to stop using the clown award in steam discussions. The clown award is meant to be a funny and playful way of expressing disagreement or criticism, but it can also be seen as disrespectful and insulting to the person who receives it. It can discourage constructive dialogue and create a hostile atmosphere in the forums. It can also damage the reputation of the steam platform as a place where people can share their opinions and passions in a respectful and friendly manner.

I understand that some people may use the clown award as a joke or a prank, but I ask them to consider the feelings and perspectives of others before doing so. Not everyone may appreciate this kind of humor, and some may feel hurt or offended by it. I also ask them to respect the rules and guidelines of the steam community, which state that users should not harass, abuse, insult or troll other users.

I believe that we can have fun and enjoy our games without resorting to negative or harmful actions. I believe that we can disagree and debate without being rude or mean. I believe that we can make the steam community a better place for everyone by using the awards in a positive and supportive way.

Therefore, I urge you to join me in this petition and stop using the clown award in steam discussions. Let’s show our appreciation and respect for each other instead. Let’s make steam a place where we can all have fun and learn from each other.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Gotta learn to ignore it OP, but it's up to you of course. As said, points are points.

Jester - "A valued member of the King's Court" plus free points.

Secondly you cannot "know" the intent of the person giving the award instead you "assume" it is negative, malicious etc.

(INTENT: Something that is intended) - "No one is a mindreader to know the giver's intent".

In turn this leads to:

(ASSUME: To make a supposition; suppose or believe:) - As in, it fits your narrative to have it be negative malicious etc which goes back to "No one is a mindreader to know the giver's intent".

And finally you have to "prove" the intent of the giver but you cannot unless they actually state the reason why.

Judging by the fact that OP has a VAC ban, and a game ban, it's not surprising that he's been silenced from saying anything here.

People who are banned for unfunny clown farming attempts are undeserving of my jester awards. Better luck next time OP, whenever that might be.

I'm seeing so many bans here on this forum. I don't care about any previous activity from this user. They are obviously trying to strike a positive tone here. I find it hard to believe they went on to post something disrespectful, that was deleted by the mods, and worthy of being banned. Were they banned for this OP? Are the Steam mods ban-happy or something? Am I going to get banned for asking?

they should add a killer clown award, for derailing threads!

steams policys are flakey at best, nobody knows why some users constantly get attacked by moderation, while other users appear on every thread insulting and harrassing the users.

someone suggested on another thread that its steam shills who basicly go around looking to get people banned off the forum that are active, because they are either bored or don't want users making claims about steams defective problems.

both issues are a good enough reason for steam to attack users.

How are you sure it was "this"? The only people that know what it was for are the OP and the mods.

It is derailing a thread, for putting the question out there...why was the OP of said thread, banned by the moderators for no apparent reason?
