Alt accounts
It is supposed to be a violation of the TOS to make an alt account to bypass a community ban. But do they really enforce that? If I make an alt account that is a parody of my real main account, is that a danger my main account will receive a further ban? Has this happened?
This alt account is from another computer and with a different email and using a VPN. My main account should be safe. But I see people making alt accounts that are obvious alts of themselves. I would like to do that too. Make a parody account of myself. But I don't want to put my main account in danger of a perma-ban or a year long ban. Using this alt means I have to use the different computer. That is a minor pain.

Ban evasion is not allowed. It would be pointless to ban an account if you were allowed to just make another one to get around that ban

But I see it done in Off Topic all the time. So I wonder if they ever bother with that rule. It looks like they do the minimum amount of effort.

If you mean your main account is ban (on vacation), then you just let Steam know about it by posting this topic.
