Silly question about gifting in steam

I sent a gift to my friend in steam, according to him, he accepted it, but it remained in my inventory. After 30 days I received a refund, but my friend still has the game in the library and he can install it, how?

Is this friend a friend in real life? Why did you not contact Steam support? I would guess because you got a refund and your friend (?) got the game. Are you sure that the refund was for the gifted game?

Yeah, im sure, I checked my history or how its called and there was refund for this game

Also I dont really want to contact support, cuz I got money and friend got game, so I think we duped money🤑
