If you're consistently the only user on your PC and find the prompt bothersome, you might be able to adjust the settings to minimize or disable the prompt. Here's how you can do it:
1. **Open Steam**: Launch the Steam client on your computer.
2. **Go to Settings**: Click on "Steam" in the top-left corner of the Steam window, then select "Settings."
3. **In-Game Settings**: In the Settings window, navigate to the "In-Game" tab.
4. **In-Game Overlay Settings**: Look for the "In-Game Overlay" section. You can adjust the settings related to the "Who's Playing" feature here. You might be able to disable it or adjust its behavior.
5. **Save Changes**: Once you've made the changes, don't forget to click the "OK" button to save your settings.
In Game settings have nothing to do with the login window prompt.
Why are you using ChatGPT that keeps on using misleading information? At least fact check it before posting it.
The bot also changes its name and avatar to try to hide themselves.
Already turned off and Steam still ask me once in a while... bizarre
but honestly? got no problem with that, as long as its not outdated info...
(actually... its kind of weird if everyone only uses GPT to answer, isnt it?)
Those aren't the correct settings for this topic.
(i also see the topic has been necroed :/, so i will shut up now, have a nice day <3)
OP can disable the "who is playing" in settings >> Interface >> Ask which account to use each time Steam starts

Edit: Damn... didn't notice the necro thread :(
Lol, people are complaining exactly because even disabling that (or not even having it enabled at first), they still get the prompt... Btw, I found some threads on Reddit about that, seems to be a bug considering lots of people are experiencing the same thing.
