Transfering save data?
Been playing offline using my friend's account. Ive been playing persona 5 and now halfway through finishing the game. Is there any possibility i can continue my progress with my own account (users dont want to do a family or cloud kind of thing fyi)

Is there any other possibilties for this problem? Thanks in advance.

Save files in general can be in different folders, depending on the game. Some are in Steam's userdata folder, others in My Documents but in Persona 5's case, it's in the Appdata folder. Specifically:

C:\Users\*UserName*\AppData\Roaming\Sega\P5R\Steam\<Steam ID>

I have no idea what OS your friend's using, but the above location is from a Windows 10 machine installed on the default C drive. Just copy whatever's in the folder (But NOT the folder itself) above onto a thumb drive or SD card, copy/paste the files a similar path on your machine and you're golden. If the path isn't there on your machine, run the game and make a new, temporary save (just skip everything until you have the option to save really), it should make a path then. I hope this helps.

First, you need to get this game on your account. Buy it yourself or have the owner share it (although, you said they don't want to). In the meanwhile, make a copy of the saves.

After getting the game on your Steam account, put that copy of the saves into your account's folder. According to PCGamingWiki, this game saves in folders specific to Steam accounts. Just copy the saves over & carry on.

So it is still possible to continue my progress on different account then? All i need to do is search for that specific directory of the save files, isnt it? Of course ill buy the game myself after this.

Yes, you'll need to transplant the saves

Found it, thanks a lot mate!
Final question, since i already have the game installed with another account and i wanna log out and purchase the game with my account, do i need to uninstall the game before logging in or i only need to purchase the game and just log in without reinstalling the game?

You don't have to uninstall. "Play" button appears automatically when you purchased the game.
