Yeah but we can still get the good diablo games. I mean i already have them on them but other people can. .
Well if Blizzard would follow every other third party examples. They most likely sell games that is on blizzard platform. Reason is to get players on the Battle.net launcher or w/e it is. WOW, Starcraft 2, WC 3. Oh wait WOW is f2p right? Definitely coming to Steam for sure if so. We just need to wait probably long time for Diablo to come to Steam, but it is definitely coming. Blizzard only bringing games to Steam that has high volume of requests. So maybe old games are coming, just maybe...but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
ofc it will, you will have to use the blizzard launcher on top of steam.
they used to sell it (cant seem to find it on their store anymore, as i would also have liked to snag those older warcraft games as well), matter of fact i bought a digital copy of diablo 2 (on their store) a long time ago for easier transfer to mules and more mules in general, while using my original copy (diablo battle chest) as my main for all my non mule characters.
d2 (modded, like PoD or PD2) or d2r (sadly in all blizzards wisdom they removed stuff like lan play and a few others from d2r, but all in all i still like the game) and diablo 1 are their best diablo games, the others jumped into monitization and other things.
modded D2 brings much more QOL features that the original should have had, as for ressurected, yes its good and looks better, but they failed addressing QOL issues that were in the original, for instance storage and inventory... their best try was adding 3 shared stash tabs that are the same size as the main and yet still ignored the issues with needing several accounts to transfer and store items and not wanting to allow more than one account to be logged in even if from a separate pc.
they also failed to provide a way to safely trade (something like "path of diablo's" trading website) and address the issue of selling items/ect.. for real money.
anywho, in the end its just devs doing stuff that nobody wants because they dont play their own games and arent in touch with their customers.
you dont say.... interesting story...
HMm so thats all they did that was meaningful? Just a shared stash and updated graphics? Not too bad..any anti cheats? I remember classic d2, people use maphacks or some sort of insta loot thing which was annoying.
