🔥 🔥 🔥 -VGUI FORCIBLY REMOVED!!! 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼
The "-vgui" command allowed the old Steam UI to be used instead of the new UI which uses 500Mb to 1Gb of RAM! The old UI used 50Mb... 💀

Now with this wonderful update, the "-vgui" command does NOTHING. 🙃

Forcing us to use this UI is the WORST decision you've ever made, Valve.
What kind of garbage are you doing under the hood???
I used to love you, but not anymore.
Not after you intentionally destroy the user experience.

Ever heard of the saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?"

Valve owns this platform. They can remove whatever they wish. There's absolutely nothing illegal about it being removed.

EDIT:
Thanks for the points.

Yes, temporary command line parameters usually are removed when Valve decides they should be. I thought it might have taken a year or so, but no or later, it was going to happen regardless.

It's a good saying. But people seem to use it ad nauseam to try and stifle any changes they don't like, which isn't the same thing.

It is sad that they remove something they know most people on steam liked in the older version, and the worst look i have ever seen horrible and disgusting

I couldn't disagree more! Please tell me how you think forcing people to use downgraded software that was once lightweight is "right?"

I feel your pain, but you sound a tad too harsh in the OP.

Seems like Valve owns you too. Maybe they should remove you as well. You might be extra happy then. Don't be a valve simp.

Not like you joined Steam yesterday, either.....so. You're part of the same machine whether you realize it or not. Those types of commands are ALWAYS temporary.

The old version was pretty bad, I like the new version, but I prefer to use the old version, something is wrong.

This new forced UI is way worse. Everything is way too big and if I remove scaling on settings everything goes way too small that I can't read anything.

We warned you all when they removed the command in the beta on July 18th.

Remember the old commands that allowed you to use the old friends list and old library? Those no longer work either.

I think they're both ugly. I want custom skins back.

I'm immensely disappointed by the removal of -vgui, as I no longer have access to skins, as well as the client being a lot laggier. I would really appreciate it if Valve could address these issues.
