I was trying to find a steam gift card form stores, but heard that they are no more available and need to buy them digitally. Is that true?

I was just at the store today and while they only had the 20USD ones, they were still there and get stocked regularly. You might just need to do some more snooping around to find where they are.

Was in Lidl today, (UK), and you could get the £20 cards.

But that’s the thing, one of the store said it’s not selling the cards. So I want to know if Steam updated which stores has and hasn’t the card.

Stuff which certain chains offer can differ from country to country.....sometimes even from store to store in the same one.

Most likely a regional thing? Lidl basically does every gift card known to man here.

Now, I will say, Steam gift cards are far rarer then other brands. Haven’t seen them in our local Lidl in a while but we live in a rural town. They had them the last time we went to Dublin.

Just got word that the reason why there aren’t any steam gift card is because some of them are frauds. How is that possible?

I wonder if it has to do with how taxes are collected on purchases.

No idea. But it’s kinda tricky now since I use physical gift cards to buy games on steam.

Recently I refunded a game and tried to buy another game using the funds in my steam wallet. To my surprise they asked for my address and phone number just to purchase a purely digital game. This didn't happen last time I used my steam wallet funds to purchase games, which was a while back. I think it has to do with taxes or games having different pricing in different countries.
