Steam is Anti-Consumer and Full of Censorship

Between all the false bans, the inconsistent TOS, IE holding you accountable for game hub bans, but insisting the developers control them and are seperate from steams control, allowing devs to misadvertize and subvert, allowing weird games on the platform, and so on, I can say I'm done giving money to steam until they turn it around. I'm actually thankful they have competition. They don't care about their users, and their response to one leaving is, "There's millions more!" Adios


Don't by into the red herring of these moderator advocates. The playbook they will use

1. Your post history, but won't state what. It's just to discredit you.
2. They will say their house their rules. They are facilitating anti-consumerism.
3. They will say the rules change. They justify their discrimination.
4. They don't play by the rules. They will make a false report to ban.
5. They are for censoring based on opinion. If you have a criticism about a game, be ready to be called a bigot or insulting.
6. They state that you are just a rule breaker. This is normal behavior for your demographic, this is basically the same as stereotyping.

You're allowed to have different likes and dislikes. But you're not allowed to run amok and hide behind the idea that your opinions are sacred. Sometimes the things we say or do seem fine to ourselves, but in reality we've stepped in it. And it's just too bad if you don't always want to deal with the consequences or think your comments and opinions are exempt from the opinions of others. And it's too bad if you disagree with the opinion of the owner: "Well, that doesn't belong here."

If they want to remove your comments and remove you, they're within their rights and your approval isn't required. Sometimes your opinions matter less than other opinions. If you don't like that, create your own little fife where no one can silence you. You're not owed it on some game's forum.

Precisely. Its not what you complain about, it's how you go about doing it. And the idea of morals, especially in a video game is very subjective.

Reading this it appears you think I have 1. Run amok. 2. My opinions are more important than yours. 3. You are saying I'm dealing with the consequences of my actions.

Who are you? Lol. You can, like a mature sentient being engage in discussion and we can agree to disagree, or you can don that white knight armor and ride through these forums telling people they are suffering because of their own doing. Let's say they removed that controversial scene. Then there could be review bombing due to claimed censorship. You asked to have the game censored, so it's not so fair to be complaining that you're being censored.
