Tropico it can add much more humor... but still serious managing game

I've only ever played the Tropico series, so that's the one I would pick.

Alternatively, I tried a game called Children of the Nile that was pretty interesting.

Personally I prefer Tropico, problem is Tropico 6 DLC isn't very good, in fact the further they get into the series the worse the DLC gets and the DLC really does tend to expand the game quite a lot with Tropico, so I'd actually recommend Tropico 4 with all the DLC.

For the Anno game you also need to have a Ubisoft account.
There's no mention of needing an extra account on the Tropico storepage.
