Hey guys and gals

What's the best and easiest way to get awards?

Well that's the thing, I don't need jester awards, I'm not trying to farm points. I just wanna know what makes people give out awards to others, genuinely.

Just generally helping around the forums, creating guides that help with a specific issue in a game for example, etc, people will give those awards to boost the guide up so others can spot it easier and they'll also award it, here is one of mine for an example: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2523856996
Just note it does require luck but I am not one that seeks awards often as I already set up my profile with the points I had and do not need them for anything else.

Because it's still random whether you're the one to receive a booster pack or not.
The drops aren't random, who receives it is.

Easiest? Start controversial threads and give dumb takes about things like Windows 7 support. You’ll get lots of jesters that way.

Best? Be a high quality contributor, regular forum posting will typically get you a trickle (and the earlier you post in a thread, the more likely drive by readers are to award you). Guides are the best method, but there’s a hefty luck element involved in getting noticed, especially with all the junk guides people make to try and farm awards.

You're vastly underestimating the perseverance of some people.
If they spam that hard to farm awards, they're going to receive punishments for spam.

Gaslighting is sadly strong in this one.

Ok, didn't realize I got awards for this, thank you so much everybody. Although that was not the intention of this topic, just trying to learn more about how the steam cumminity as a whole works.

Up until recently I didn't even know what jester awards were used for until one of my friends told me about it. So many hidden rules and such.

So once again thank you guys

, but this wasn't the original intent.

Oh I wouldn't write it off. 🙂 There are mods to make inventory management more bearable, but they weren't available on the first platform I played it on (PS3). If anything, the sheer time investment required by RPGs puts me off them thesedays.
