Your UI is Bad and you should BE FIRED

Yeah, you shouldn't only just FEEL BAD, you should lose your jobs as well. This UI doesn't work at all. It crashes constantly when you're not using it, sucks up CPU like that's its job, it's ugly and cluttered as all get out (seriously you can't find ANYTHING). And at this point i think if they're just going to continue pushing this crap UI that won't even work on our computers then it's time to really consider switching to Epic. I can at least let that run in the background and it A. Won't suck up CPU, B. Doesn't just randomly crash when I'm playing a game (or literally just browsing the internet, look it crashed again!), and C. It's straightforward, unintrusive, and most importantly, ergonomic. If i can't even find the list of "recent players" so i can add a friend that i want to play with, there's an issue with your UI

I didn't even start to mention the random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ advertisements for random ass games while I'm ALREADY PLAYING A GAME. If i want to search for games I will search for them... You have an entire history of my payments, you KNOW i spend money, shoving crap into my face only makes me take names, and NEVER buy from their studio

Add -vgui to the target of the Steam desktop icon in its properties and you are fine.

Only works until they finally remove old stuff, then it gone completely, maybe in 2024 as that when Windows 7/8 dropping.

The ingame overlay is like an exact copy from the deck... I wouldn't know because I don't have one but minimal text and very tiny icons that won't really tell you what they are? Yeah that's bad. They didn't even think about how ugly it will be on a pc. I mean it surely looks cool for a deck but on pc it is as user hostile as it can be.
I also like the innovative features in the overlay. Like if you open the discussions then the store or something, it will save what you were doing so opening up the DISCUSSIONS again will send you to the store.

It's a good thing opening steam actually opens it and not my fridge.

I don't know what's going on in the heads of the developers these days, like apps are working nicely on phones but then the same ♥♥♥♥ on a pc would have way less features and problems they don't even care about. A huge example: every app being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loud and the volume slider being the only thing hidden when it should be in plain sight. I'm pretty sure my hearing got worse because of these barbaric designs.

Which kind of advertisements do you mean? Steam isn't supposed to do that (I've never been interrupted by a Steam ad in more than a decade, not even with the new UI)

i can view my library and store page and reply to posts of forums without a problem so far...
