Well the Dev showed up and ofc he started with Win7 unsupported by Microsoft etc.
However he also tried to help and he said I might try to reinstall DX11 or Repair it.
Im not sure if I should.

Overall I ask you guys worth to Reinstall Repair DX11? I ask this because sometimes such steps can end badly and I dont want more trouble for only 1 game to run.
Also I read that DX11.1 can be installed on Win7 if I have Platform Update, I checked and KB2670838 is already installed. However I read also this: Windows 7 can support DirectX 11.1 "software features" but not "hardware features". Also with dxdiag it show I have DX11, not DX11.1.

What GPU you using? Also yes you can reinstall drivers there no problems doing that.

I downloaded from microsoft the dxwebsetup and run it. It said I have the latest and dont need to reinstall. But why dxdiag show I have DX11 and not DX11.1?

that i do not know. i do have the same situation myself however. despite having direct x 11.1 it still shows as just direct x 11.

i think, but dont remember, if win 10 shows that in task manager as well.

that being said, i currently have a asus rog strix 1080, so i only have up to dx 12.1 and it shows that in task manager.

Task Manager dont provide such info for me. Atleast I have no clue where to search there, it show running processes, services, applications, performance, network, user.

if you want to check.

run CMD as admin, type in "dxdiag" and view display tab, it shows the dx feature levels, you currently have ;)

example of mine, in dxdiag: 12_1, 12_0, 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1

they increased the amount of info shown in the task manager in later systems. windows 8.1 shows more information than windows 7 does. you technically do not need to check what specific version of direct x 11 you have. direct x 11.1 is unique for windows 8.

Well, it popped up for me the same windows dxdiag.
There on display it show
version: 27.20.20912.1002
DDI version: 11
WDDM 1.1

Edit: I guess you are on Win11 now, that might provide more info for you.

check to see if you have that update, by downloading it from microsoft link or microsoft update catalog and installing it.

The issue that it's kind of iffy because they didn't really bother putting it for W7 fully if that correct way to put it that why it won't report as DX11.1 only 11.0 / 11.

So can try this guide if the latest version of DXVK doesn't work can try older versions.
