And, like Windows 7, it'll hang around for 5+ years after that due to corporate and embedded applications. At that point the minimum hardware spec for Windows 11 will be over a decade old. And, again like Windows 7, by the time the "true" end of Windows 10 support starts looming, it'll likely only be a handful of regressives that are still using it anyway.

You know what's better than worrying about how you are going to keep playing your precious steam games?

Being on windows 11 and not having to worry about it till around 2028 or so. And by that time I'll have upgraded to whatever the latest OS is and still not have to worry about it.

EOL for windows 11 would likely be 2032 or some such, maybe 2031. windows support cycles stay for about 10 years

I am suprised how ppl think end of support is a new thing old oses used to have a lot shorter lifespans and once support ends other things slowly stop supporting(making effort to ensure it runs on older os) for whats the point it does cost money to maintain support and first reason why they have the standard minimun may change is due to security does require more for sure you think its easy but servers connecting to the app eventually will require to end support of older stuff if you feel this much over go ahead sue if you win. Every software company will start supporting every old os ever made to not get sued if you lose when the law is the law

I'm not aware of any law that makes making computers obsolete after many years illegal, but once Windows 10 ends official support I'm switching my last remaining Windows device to Linux.

No, actually I am using Windows 11 on my laptop, but still using WIndows 10 on my main, desktop PC. :)

I'm not aware of any law that makes making computers obsolete after many years illegal, but once Windows 10 ends official support I'm switching my last remaining Windows device to Linux.

The law he's attempting to cite is about signing contracts under duress.

This applies to stuff like having to sign witness statements over threats of arrest, signing over rights to products or services that you may own over threats of financial or physical ruin, etc.

It's doesn't apply to the SSA in any capacity.
