Probably more a problem with you disk drive than with Windows 10 itself (unless those games are using 16 bit executables). I've a stack of discs from over 20 years ago and each of them has run perfectly fine on Windows 10 even the ones that had problems running on Windows 7.

Doesn’t SafeDisc or something cause problems here since MS stopped allowing the driver to load at some point?

Easily remedied on Windows 10. I have Safedisc and Securerom on my Windows 10 and 11 machines. Starforce is the only DRM that will never work, but screw Starforce games.

Because the update that actually kills support for Windows 7 when it comes to Steam hasn't happened yet.

Once they release the version of Chromium that is not compatible with Windows 7, that will be it.

The one that was released on January 18th, was the last version that is compatible with Windows 7, when it gets updated again, that will be it.

Okay so when that happens, the post will have more validity. But if its a matter of just "individual games" going one or a few at a pop, it's gonna be tough for a class action.

But if there's a kill switch, people should inquire with their lawyers about their damages. Given how old my games are, i'd likely lose a hundred bucks. But others posted thousands.

there is no validity to the idea of suing valve period. quit living in the lah lah land and wake up to the real world where unused software gets support removed.

And? They haven’t updated CEF since the 18 January beta and even the it was to a version still compatible with Windows 7.

Cause the most devs are lazy to make it work. Some Games Today are still support 1280x1024 resolution espially Horizon Forbitten West (That are releasing soon)/Ratchet and Clank, they still got that old resoltuion supported...

Nah, not lazy. It's a dead resolution and UI elements are generally designed around 16:9 and not odd resolutions. And are you sure A Rift Apart supports 1280x1024? I see a 1280x720, but not 1280x1024.

Actually it was windows 11 before I did upgrade to windows 7 just to use Kyubey theme.

Windows 7 is NOT an Upgrade over 11. get real
