As for resistance, they already updated Chromium once in the Steam beta client on January 18th, it's the last one that is compatible with Windows 7, If they update it again in February, that's it.

They won't update it again. Chromium will stay on version 109 for the next 3 years. Just like version 85 was.

Absolutly but he is using an xbox one wich is also on its end or when gfn breaks on xbox ver edge again like you can like old system most normal ppl dont expect software to be supported eternaly but this guy acts like its a crime against humanity when an os wich is old has unpatched vurnebilities has limits is special and more funny ppl complaining about paying free os upgrades came with win 10 before it was quite expensive and you didnt have a free antivirus included but i am more suprised that laptop still works the hdd is probly on its last breath

If it took them 3 years to upgrade from version 85 to version 109, then version 109 will stay for a very long time as well. They most probably upgraded only to 109 and not to 120 because they wanted to keep Windows 7 compatibility.

That would explain why hearing scream from nightmare every night worry that Steam may update knowing it will happen someday.

That was years ago when steam had less then 50 games on sale and no one knew if Digital distribution (especially as most just saw it as an additional online drm) will kick off at all.
