Forever is a bit hyperbolic, but I had an offline Steam system for five years, and it was fine - so agree.
You should not lump Windows 10 with 11 this way.
Windows 7 and Windows 10 have virtually the same system req's.
(Windows 11 is another matter but its new system req's are mostly artificial.
The only problem with Windows 11 and unsupported hardware is you cannot use Windows 11 Insider Preview version(s) but I take this as a positive thing. :)
I.e. they are urging you not to use an unfinished likely buggy OS this way. ;) )
Lock this crap. This is not even worthy of discussion.
I'd say report it but honestly I've reported it 3 times and they've done nothing about it.
I suspect some of the moderators themselves might be Windows 7 clingers or perhaps are friends with OP, that's really the only explanation for why this thread is still open. It's 8+ months old (which mods apparently can't stand considering how frequently they close threads that are barely a few months old for being "quite old") and OP is threatening to sue Valve, which is a violation of guidelines and the user agreement. There have also been countless incidents of insults and trolling.
And yet this dumb thread is still open. Just goes to show how incredibly arbitrary the moderators are here.
It doesn't come up as a new report.
The "i don''t like the OP or their subject" rule, apparently.
If true, that's a pretty poor system and further goes to show how moderators here are extremely arbitrary.
Also, if true, how does that explain moderators caving to report button brigaders and abusers who report people just because they don't like or don't agree with the factual and honest things someone else said and the moderators take action against the innocent user who didn't actually do or say anything wrong?
That's not a trick question btw, I know the answer. It's just 1 word. Arbitrary.
The one where it says you shall not threaten or intimidate Steam personnel. By threatening to sue Valve if they don't "save win 7," OP is attempting to threaten and intimidate Steam personnel. Hence the rule/guideline violation.
There is quite literally a rule that states you shall not threaten or intimidate Steam personnel. What is the title of this thread if not a blatant attempt to threaten and intimidate Steam personnel?
