my steam client does not correctly connect to the internet (error code 101)

this issue is not only with steam it is also with my battlenet client and microsoft edge. for steam specific fixes i have attempted reinstalling steam, and i have tried clearing the browser cache for steam as well as logging in and out. i have ran every command for my pc under the sun, i have changed ethernet cords, uninstalled ethernet drivers, everything. i am desperate please someone help LMAO

Try resetting your router and modem. Unplug both for 10 minutes from power than plug back in, I notice after a fast power flash that the router starts messing up with DNS and sites start failing to load and some relying entirely on cache until new images come through being completely broken. Sites like YouTube seemingly work fine but videos buffer even though internet speed is fast.
