Notification is going crazy or it is just me?

I'm getting notifications of discussions I'm not subscribed to, and worse, there is no new post in the discussion either. Something is weird.

Anyone else?

Today notifications have stopped working completely. I don't get any notifications anymore.

Even though I clicked on the notification which puts it as "Read" after a while it will pop back up again. With no new replies or anything, something funky must be going on with the servers.

Just like everything else, the notifications are messed up right now... unless it's meant to be like that; you never know when it comes to Steam these days.

Just checked again after restarting steam. Not subscribed to forum, not subscribed to the discussion, still getting notifications for posts that happened 1 hour ago, no new message on these discussions AT ALL.

Yeah, I am getting some notifications 20-60 minutes after the new comment was posted, or after the thread was moved to a different subforum- and clicking the notification link tries to take me to the old thread url. Notifications for inventory items like trading cards are also delayed by almost an hour for me, They drop, but the notification doesn't show up for an hour, and the notification itself hangs in a loading state for 1-5 minutes. And old notifications (already read) come back from the grave at times- not all fo them, but enough that it does become somewhat annoying.

Big sales like the Summer and Winter sales always have issues, and this sale has the "usual" server issues along with a buggy new UI that isn't fully patched and working correctly yet.
I'm just playing my games. I'll do my discover queue later tonight after the server I ping in my region isn't as clogged with traffic. And I am just ignoring the Notifications bell for now. Not likely to be anything there that is going to affect my real-world life, just arguments going on in threads that I don;t need to get involved in.

Nah, there was definitely something odd going on today, but seems it has been fixed already. Other people on this post described the same problem I was having. Getting notifications on not subscribed discussions (no friends posting there either), getting notifications on subscribed discussion that had no new posts at all, so on and so forth.

Anyway, seems to be fixed a hour ago or so.

I just got a few old notifications.

It does nothing for me, it goes green and says i have a notification but when i go to the forum or item nothing is there..

Today when i logged in i saw that i missed heaps of chat and other stuff yesterday that the notification system completely missed..

I buy a card and my notication that i got it arrives 20-30mins later

I will say at this point the new notifications are super broken and out of sync with the servers..

Glad I'm not the only one. Getting notifications in threads that I've already read AND even replied to. Almost like the Notifications system is lagging behind.
