The sale is actually 2 weeks. 29th-13th, which is nothing out of the ordinary.
Unless you meant how late it started in June but eh.
I think it's good how late it started which is why I posted and want to know what made you think prompt them to start at the end of the month instead of the bleeping middle? this article says it's going to be three weeks.

The Steam Summer Sale will end on Thursday, July 12, 2023, giving everyone three weeks to browse and buy.
You can find out more about all of 2023’s Steam sales on our hub page.
Of course things like credit cards also exist as does budgeting and plannng....
It's not exactly a secret steam has a summer sale, people have known for 5+ years now and have had time to save.
But it's still consumer friendly to do it the current way with most of the sale being after the 1st or 3rd regardless if your living on a budget or saved up a bunch it will always be on your favor to have it this way.
Most likely sales will increase for whatever company it is they are buying from which is good in today's economy. Every bit helps.
That website failed with their math. 2 weeks from today is july 13th, so the sale is a hair under 2 weeks actually not 3.
Your right about that. I was so excited I failed to see that but it's true they are doing it at a better time with majority of sale being after everyone's pay days meaning they are more likely to spend it on Steam then on some thing that's junk.
regardles of how little or how much you make. People who live on a budget will likely buy older titles on sale and grab a bunch. That's how I first started out. Doesn't mean you will actually play said titles. 🙃

It is very convenient i suppose as said, people know about sales months prior.
Actually you'd be surprised. Not everyone spends 24/7 on forums and such they have actual lives to live instead of hiding in the digital Potemkin world.
Not really, everyone gets paid differently and on different structures. Some get paid weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, etc. For instance i'll get paid on the 14th, which is right after the sale. Others will get paid immediately before the sale
No matter what date you pick there will be some people it works better for then others, but thats what a credit card is for.... You have a whole month to pay it off at no cost.
Well, it's mostly new articles that get pushed online too. Mid June is always good ETA for the summer sale. I remember last year i wasn't really active on the forums etc, and i just decided to google sale dates and boom, got it from SteamDB.
We never put our credit card online. Got hacked one too many times despite using every security measure possible so we use what's called a 'secured' card where you transfer money from your account to that card which is like a digital debit card which that is all the merchant will see though the hacking is most likely not the merchant.
In fact according to Dad my internet secured card already got compromised somehow which the bank notified him and I only use it on one site for a monthly payment so I've been issued a new one by the bank. Luckly it's not my actual main account!!!
Props to the bank for catching it.
I use Steam gift cards for Steam so if I ever get hacked it will be just my Steam account they see and I've been hacked once on Steam and had Steam help me with money stolen from my account not too long ago,.
I won't ever put either digital card on Steam unless I have absolutely no choice knowing today's administration we are the least secured we've ever been as a nation but that's not for here since this isn't Steam Politics. 😲🙃
I wish there was a Steam Politics and furthermore one that isn't one sides to a certain party. :) Hint hint forum devs.
Me too but I already knew from a long time ago when sales likely were but again I don't do what most people do and actually look things up instead of just assuming most of the time.
"For instance I get paid on the 14th" still that's good enough because you won't be broke for long depending on how much you spent on the sale or save some for another sale.
