Deactivate Full Screen Start

I want to start Steam at Windows start. *still works* BUT i don`t want it in Full Screen - it should start only visible as Tray Icon like before they f***d us with this new ugly UI. If someone knew please tell me how to get Steam act like i want it to. thnxs.

Use the -silent parameter in the target line of Steam.

Make a shortcut of Steam > Right Click the Shortcut (Properties) > In target field, add a space then -silent > Apply > Run shortcut.

You can get steam back to behaving like before with a command in registry editor.

First make sure you have auto start enabled.
Open regedit and go to
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Find the entry called Steam, right click and edit it.
At the end of the line add:

-minimized makes it start minimized. No clutter on your screen on start up.
-vgui sets it to use the old UI from before the update.

So the full value data line in my case says:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -silent -vgui -minimized

... and don't change your steam settings afterward as it resets the change xD
